Kristen Berset

Miss FL USA 2004 / Top 10 Miss USA / 1st RU USA Miss World 2005

Weekend Sports Anchor in Washington, DC for CBS

Building Confidence / Networking / Grooming

Baltimore, MD

Kristen has always enjoyed watching pageants but was somewhat of a late bloomer when it came to competing. At the age of 20, and a junior at the University of Florida, Kristen entered her first official pageant, Miss Gainesville USA. Just two years later Kristen was crowned Miss Florida USA 2004 and placed in the Top Ten at Miss USA, a feat that had not been reached by any other Miss Florida USA since 1987. After that Kristen had two more successful pageant years, 1st runner up at US Miss World 2004 and 2005.

Being crowned Miss Florida USA gave Kristen the opportunity to work with several organizations, such as the YMCA, the Lisa Merlin House, Girls Inc., Selma Mastry Ovarian Cancer Foundation and Here's Help. She also spent her year as Miss Florida educating others on the obesity epidemic our country is currently facing. She was even invited by then Florida Governor Jeb Bush to speak on behalf of her platform, Get Fit Florida. Since her days on the pageant stage, she’s been called upon to judge several pageants around the country.

A graduate of the School of Journalism at the University of Florida, Kristen is now a sports anchor in Washington, DC. Prior to moving to the northeast, Kristen was a News Anchor in Baltimore, in addition to Panama City, FL. She co-hosted the Professional Tarpon Tournament Series (PTTS), the largest and richest fishing tournament in the world that is broadcast to more than 48 million homes across the U.S. As a journalist, Kristen has been blessed with covering a wide variety of compelling stories but one that really made an impact was a two week trip to the Middle East. Kristen joined the rest of the PTTS cast in treating our Servicemen and women to a fishing tournament in the lakes of Victory Base Complex in Baghdad. Saddam Hussein’s former palaces, which now serve as a base for our troops, served as the background as over 400 servicemen and women got a few hours to relax and unwind. Truly an eye-opening and heartwarming experience.

For the past 16 years, Kristen has had a successful career in modeling and acting across the country, appearing in national magazines and catalogs including Cosmopolitan, Seventeen, Venus USA, Bealls, and Dillards.

Kristen’s success in pageants and television can be traced back to the guidance and support of Judith Coffman. Judith took a shy “tomboy” and turned her into a confident successful television personality that looks forward to sharing that knowledge with others pursuing their dreams.
